Dear Willard Intermediate School Community,
As we embark on the 2025/2026 school year, I am filled with excitement and optimism about the journey ahead. Our commitment to fostering a nurturing, inclusive, and vibrant educational environment remains steadfast. This year, we will continue to embrace and advance our Universal Design for Learning (UDL) mindset, ensuring that every student can access and engage in meaningful learning experiences tailored to their unique needs and strengths.
At Willard Intermediate, we believe in the power of restorative practices as our primary mode of discipline. These practices not only help resolve conflicts but also strengthen the bonds within our school community, creating a sense of belonging and mutual respect. Our goal is to build a community that extends beyond the classroom and into our neighborhoods, fostering connections that support our students' growth and well-being.
We are dedicated to working toward the SAUSD Graduate Profile, ensuring our students are well-prepared for their future endeavors. This aligns seamlessly with fulfilling our Board priorities, which guide us in providing a comprehensive and holistic education.
As a proud Turnaround Arts school, we will continue to integrate the arts into our daily lessons, recognizing the profound impact they have on student engagement, creativity, and academic achievement. The arts are a cornerstone of our educational approach, enriching our curriculum and inspiring our students to explore and express themselves in diverse ways.
Together, we will create a dynamic and supportive learning environment where every student can thrive. I am grateful for the dedication of our staff, the support of our families, and the enthusiasm of our students. Let's make this school year one of growth, connection, and achievement.
Estimada comunidad de la escuela intermedia Willard, A medida que nos embarcamos en el año escolar 2025/2026, estoy lleno de entusiasmo y optimismo sobre el viaje que tenemos por delante. Nuestro compromiso de fomentar un entorno educativo enriquecedor, inclusivo y vibrante sigue siendo firme. Este año, continuaremos adoptando y avanzando nuestra mentalidad de Diseño Universal para el Aprendizaje (UDL), asegurando que cada estudiante pueda acceder y participar en experiencias de aprendizaje significativas adaptadas a sus necesidades y fortalezas únicas.
En Willard Intermediate, creemos en el poder de las prácticas restaurativas como nuestro principal modo de disciplina. Estas prácticas no sólo ayudan a resolver conflictos sino que también fortalecen los vínculos dentro de nuestra comunidad escolar, creando un sentido de pertenencia y respeto mutuo. Nuestro objetivo es construir una comunidad que se extienda más allá del aula y dentro de nuestros vecindarios, fomentando conexiones que apoyen el crecimiento y el bienestar de nuestros estudiantes. Estamos dedicados a trabajar para lograr el perfil de graduado de SAUSD, asegurando que nuestros estudiantes estén bien preparados para sus proyectos futuros. Esto se alinea perfectamente con el cumplimiento de las prioridades de nuestra Junta, que nos guían para brindar una educación integral y holística.
Como escuela orgullosa de Turnaround Arts, continuaremos integrando las artes en nuestras lecciones diarias, reconociendo el profundo impacto que tienen en la participación, la creatividad y el rendimiento académico de los estudiantes. Las artes son la piedra angular de nuestro enfoque educativo, enriquecen nuestro plan de estudios e inspiran a nuestros estudiantes a explorar y expresarse de diversas maneras. Juntos, crearemos un entorno de aprendizaje dinámico y de apoyo donde cada estudiante pueda prosperar. Estoy agradecido por la dedicación de nuestro personal, el apoyo de nuestras familias y el entusiasmo de nuestros estudiantes. Hagamos de este año escolar uno de crecimiento, conexión y logros.
